Presenting sights and sounds of birds and other wildlife from around the world.

This is the personal website of Dave Farrow, and includes material collected over many years of travelling, much of it spent in the Oriental region.

The main feature of the site is a sound library with a collection of recordings of over 1000 species of 71 families from 30 countries. The bulk of material comes from India, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Thailand and the UK.

In addition, you can see trip reports and photos taken on recent trips. Many of the photos are taken with a Coolpix 4500 through either a Swarovski ATS80 telescope or my Swarovski 8.5 x 42 binoculars

All my recordings are made on good old audio-cassette tape, however
I have transformed my entire collection into a digital format.
My intention is to keep adding and replacing recordings with an emphasis on producing top quality recordings. Many of my best recordings are
lengthy and indulgent, which I why at present I have no plan to make them directly
available from the website in a truncated and compressed format. Therefore the best
way to acquire certain recordings would be to order a CD (or even a cassette-tape) of the cuts required.

I can also offer recordings made by other field-recordists. If there is something you are looking for that you can't find, contact me as I may have access to the recording that you are seeking.
